This morning we were in the small but fine Saerbeck wetland nature reserve.
I was quite shocked by how many old, stately oaks had fallen victim to the severe thunderstorm 14 days ago. Even on the way there, I saw several uprooted trees lying across the fields. In the nature reserve itself, some lay by the wayside. 🙄
