Once around the Wippatalsperre. The upper path is fun and nice and narrow. South of the dam there are bad forest paths with huge water holes on the paths. Also a lot of dead wood. The viewpoint is very nice though.

The loneliest hiking pin in the Harz! 😆 The path to the dam was really bad... The dam is quite isolated. I heard it's better from the other side. But I didn't listen. Quiet and idyllic!
The last two pictures show the path to the dam. It was desolate and impassable! Muddy, Monastir, climbing over trees...

The approach via unpaved, very narrow and dusty forest paths is really exhausting. The hike is very nice. Forest, open parts, down by the water, up on a cliff, everything is on offer. We would always recommend this hike!
