Gaimühle and Antonslust

Highlight • Settlement

The Gaimühle is the smallest Eberbach district.
The origin of the settlement may have been a mill of the Amorbach monastery, which was first mentioned in 1550.
In addition to the mill, there was another settlement at the "Antonslust" hunting lodge. During the 1848 revolution, the cabin was looted and destroyed.
Today there is a wellness hotel in the "Antonslust" called "Waldesruh".

Itterkanal Path

Highlight • Trail

The Itter Canal is actually called Oberwasserkanal and begins at the Ittertalsperre, the so-called reservoir.
The Ittertalsperre was built in 1923 to protect against flooding. Some of the stored water is routed via the Oberwasserkanal to the Itter power plant in Eberbach. The lake also serves as a fish pond.
The path leads through the forest along the Itter Canal from the Antonslust to the Itterkraftwerk.

You can not call it a glade, but if there were no trees, that would be the best way to do it

Not much to say 🤷‍♀️
Mud in the forest, too wet and dirty at the end. The weather forecast had actually predicted dry weather, but it turned out differently 🙄
