From a bench placed by the roadside under a shady deciduous tree you have a beautiful view along the Rhine.
Alternatively, you can watch the animals in the fenced game enclosure or be eyed by the same.

I had parked on a residential street in Münster-Sarmsheim, directly on the well-signposted route.

The loop is 19.4 km long. Due to the small access road and going wrong twice (slept 😴) it got a little more for me.
The tour is in my home area and therefore I know almost all sections of the route quite well. However, …

@Horst had been putting this hike off for a long time and today was finally the right day to do this varied tour with lots of highlights.
It was wonderful and the three of us laughed a lot. And had some serious conversations too.
Thanks Horst!

Beautiful, varied circular walk. There is a short off-grid passage in between due to fallen trees caused by the hurricane winds last weekend. Lots of new signs, but some old, very faded ones, but you can see that an effort is being made to maintain the path.

Nice round trip. I parked at the cemetery. The tour is well signposted with some very nice rest areas. It goes through forest vineyards fields and with great views

There is a large public car park at the starting coordinates, alternatively there are hiking car parks at the edge of the forest.

Here we followed a multi (geocache 🔎).

The paths are well signposted, there are lots of benches for rest. Officially it is stated that there are places to stop for refreshments, but this is not true.

Today Isy and I started in Weiler. Contrary to the name "Rhein Nahe Schleife", which is used on numerous hiking platforms, the path is a circular route of the Rhein Burgen Weg, which caused a bit of chaos at the beginning when I was looking for the right starting point. But once you get the hang of it, you can't …
