Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Very good alternative to the tour on the Elbe. There is plenty of shade here, especially in summer, and there are also a few benches to rest on. Highly recommended bike path.

Marschenbahndamm Cycle Path

A sharp bike path, with lots of trees and bushes on the left and right. A nice shady stretch in summer. I always enjoy driving here.

A very pleasant cycle path; as usual, the former railway lines are flat, wide, and without sharp curves. The landscape is predominantly rural and dotted with plenty of water.

June 24, 2025,Speicherstadt – Hamburger Marschbahn - Radweg Runde von Kirchwerder
The initial cycle path along the Elbe was only accessible along the main road. Further down, directly along the Elbe, there were opportunities, but some parts were very poorly maintained. On the other hand, the Marschdamm in Kirchwerderwiesen was fantastic and highly recommended. The cycle route in Hamburg was incredibly beautiful and led directly to Hafencity.

Today we went to the parade in Kirchwerder.
First over the Marschbahndamm, which is always great to ride. No cars, just nature and like-minded people 🚴‍♀️.
When I arrived, I cycled past the parade. Beautiful floats and a folk festival like no other. Everything that had legs was on the side of the road with a chair, table, grill, music …

The Vier- und Marschlande cultural landscape in Hamburg's Bergedorf district has been supplying the city's residents with regional products such as fruit, vegetables and flowers for centuries. Delicious treats thrive here in idyllic surroundings. Perfect for cycling tours, well-developed roads lead past old farmhouses, modern greenhouses, picturesque village churches and long ditches. A trip to the Elbe dike is particularly …

Today it should be dry and after the rainy day a welcome change to go trekking again.
Of course there was a fish roll today and not the currywurst again, a change ...
The paths, beautifully covered with leaves and were really fun to rush through.
A swift departure was given, as the clouds were gathering and looked rather threatening, …

Today we are back to Zollenspiker after a long time.
Cold but sunny, great autumn weather for cycling.
First a stop at the Italian restaurant, coffee break, then on to the feeding trough.
Then on one of the favorite tours, with delicious currywurst.
A nice tour and at the end you're happy to be back in the warmth.😉

Today I went to my favorite route again.
The paths are not muddy. There was a coffee station on the way and the currywurst or fish rolls were very tempting. The first look at the small booth was all the more disappointing....nothing there of what was desired. It was probably due to the flood. So on to the Rippenburger Mühle. …

Today we went to Zollenspiker as planned, out and away..!!!
The currywurst we were hoping for wasn't available yet, probably only a few days ago...
With a headwind 😒 we went through nature, which was already clearly visible on both sides of the route, and it was blooming.
It was cloudy, dry and a bit cool, but still very nice. …
