The Seaplane Station (Poppy Trail)

Highlight • Historical Site

A big slab of concrete will increase your curiosity as to why it is there, the information board explains it was a WW 1 Seaplane Station that was created to help protect ships from German submarines back in 1917.

Ouse Estuary Nature Reserve

Highlight • Natural

There are two public footpaths that cross the reserve and a new cycle path that runs all the way to Seaford. The cycle path is part of National Cycle Route 2.
The routes are flat and suitable for both adults and children. The bike path and footpath to the bird viewing screen are paved and suitable for electric buggies and wheelchairs.
The other footpath is not paved and is not a dedicated cycle path, but you can cycle along it in dry weather (within the reserve). Don't cycle past it when the ground is soft, as your tires can damage the surface.
