Former Lieu Abbey Restored

Highlight • Religious Site

Founded in the 12th century, this former abbey was sold as national property during the Revolution. A long phase of gradual renovation then began. Since 1964, an association has been working on its restoration and organizing volunteer projects.
In 2020 and 2021, the Restored Place will host the Mad Jacques "high country refuge" for cyclists during the summer, the equivalent of a high mountain refuge, but in the countryside.

Historic monuments classified in 1992 but protected since 1920. Gothic in style, it dates from the end of the 12th and the beginning of the 13th century, reusing the side walls of an old Romanesque church from the beginning of the 12th century.

Pondron Church

Highlight • Religious Site

The Saint Pondron Church dates from the 12th and 13th centuries. It combines Romanesque and Gothic elements, such as the walls of the old nave, the square choir, the side bell tower and the flamboyant chapel. You can admire the stone heads carved on the corbels, the original stained glass windows and the covered well in front of the portal. Don't miss this charming example of rural architecture in the Automne Valley.
