The church is situated on a gentle hill, lends itself very well to beautiful pictures. Unfortunately, the church was closed when we were there.

August 16, 2026,Almenrunde at it's best
Anyone vacationing in Bozen who perhaps doesn't want to be out all day should do this tour. We do it almost every time. Park in Schermoos for 5 euros (card works). Then up to Langfennhof and do the figure eight via the alm. A wonderful tour.

... the larch meadows of Langfenn are a completely new landscape for me: a very large plateau with only free-standing larches and lush meadows. In addition, an all-round panorama of many surrounding mountains from the height. You can see the mountains of the Alpe di Siusi very well here. It should look even nicer in November in the sun. Then …

The hike starts at the Schermoos hiking car park (daily price €5, you can also pay with a card). From the car park, climb up to Langfenn. Then follow path E5. Continue on path no. 5, no. 7 and then no. 7 A to the Gschnofer Stall. There is a very good place to stop for a break with good, …

The next day of our South Tyrol vacation, we went to the Schermoos car park. The destination was the Langfenn inn with its beautiful chapels, which can be seen from afar.

You can hike from the parking lot to Langfenn in about 15-20 minutes, which of course was too much for us. Therefore we expanded the tour and crossed beautiful …

October 17, 2022,Auf dem Salten
At the end of our holiday in Lana we were able to experience another highlight today.
A hike that absolutely lives up to the word "pleasure hiking". Almost flat, easy to walk paths, a wonderful panorama, on one side the Dolomites, on the other side the mountains of the Texel and Ortler groups,
and on this beautiful plateau the many …

So lovely up there.
The Salten on the Tschöggelberg, a beautiful high plateau. Larches, huts, horses and cows determine the landscape. The views of the Dolomites, Ortler and Texel Groups are fascinating. Amazement at every corner. So beautiful 🤗😁😆☀️

A leisurely easy hike on the high plateau between Mölten and Jennesien, the Salten. Unfortunately today without panoramic view.

If you hike in the area, you should always plan the tour over the Salten.
A visit to the larch meadows is worthwhile at any time of the year.
