Villa San Quirico

In 2004 the city of Minusio Zürich bought the Villa San Quirico. The complex is located in the Rivapiana district, on the west side, near the San Quirico church and the Romanesque-style bell tower. The building is a medium sized isolated dwelling built in the early 1930's in a sovereign style. It is surrounded by a garden/park of over 2,000 m². The property is bordered on one side by the railway track and on the other by San Quirico street: a high wall separates the area from the district street and a portal leads to the entrance. The competent cantonal authority has listed the Villa San Quirico as an officially recognized building for civil marriages. On the other hand, the area of the park is earmarked for public use alongside municipal property.
