Meraner Steig Scenic Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

It's always a pleasant ride. And if the side slope is too steep, you can push the bike. The path is wide enough. And after 100 meters, the slope flattens out again.

July 4, 2026,Weißenbach am Lech Alter Gaichtpass -Haldensee- Haller

The old Gaicht Pass is steep but beautiful, then it goes over Rauth (little Meran) and the Meraner Steig (S1-S2), a beautiful panoramic path -> Krinnen Alpe. Good food here -> further to Gräner Ödenalpe very steep and rough (turbo necessary)

October 17, 2024,Von Gaicht über Rauth zur Krinnenspitze

From Gaicht via Rauth on the Meraner Steig up to Krinnenalp. The panoramic path over to Edenalpe is always a pleasure. The Ödenalpe was already in hibernation. The ascent to Krinnenspitze is still fairly doable up to the steep climb, but from the straight, steep fence up you just have to carry. Only tried it briefly today, but then I …

Wonderful tour to Gräner Ödenalpe. The landscape is beautiful, the paths are very easy to drive on. The starting point is the Haldensee car park, heading south along the lake for a short distance and then up the mountain. After about 680hm you reach the Gräner Ödenalpe, which reveals a beautiful panoramic view. The descent towards Nesselwängle is very fun …

One of the most beautiful mountain bike tours in the Tannheimer Tal. From Nesselwängle over the Edenalpe to the Ödenalpe. A hike to the Krinnenspitze or for rock addicts the tour to the Litnisschrofen is recommended here. On the way back, you pass the Krinnenalpe and the Krinnenlift on the Meraner Steig that leads down to Rauth. From there, possibly …

October 16, 2024,Haldensee - Meraner Steig - Krinnenalpe

Today we went on a part of the Tannheimer Talrunde by mountain bike.

We started in Haldensee and rode across the lake to Klein Meran and then over the Meraner Steig to Krinnenalpe.

You can expect mostly wide paths that alternate between gravel and asphalt. In any case, there is a great view of Gimpel and Rot Flüh. The tour …
