Hard road ride. Very good fitness required. Mostly well-paved surfaces and easy to ride. The starting point of the route is accessible with public transport.

The ideal way to avoid the busy main road.

Very nice route but not exactly harmless in autumn when it is wet, the 22% gradient is quite a challenge. Driving carefully and slowly in the wet is recommended, especially in autumn.

Dürrnbergstraße Scenic Road

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Coming from the Rossfeld scenic road, the descent to Bad Dürnberg is well developed. Only in Hallein you have to follow the cycle path to Salzach in time to get off the main roads.

Rossfeld Panorama Road

Highlight • Mountain Pass

The eastern part of the Rossfeld Panoramastraße is a bit flatter for the ascent than coming from Berchtesgaden. The view towards Hallein is magnificent. Also great towards Golling.

The more beautiful way to Rossfeld.

Coming from the west, the road winds its way up to Rossfeld with excellent asphalt, always with the mountains in focus. Initially relatively flat …

Certainly a beautiful panorama pass tour if you can see your hand in front of your eyes. 😀. Will definitely do these again. It is better to stay on the road in this direction. The byways are tarred clean, but the slopes are more for MTB.

Phew, I've never ridden anything as hard as the Roßfeldhöhenstraße. I've only ever seen 20% gradients on Zwift.
But once you've left the toll booth behind you, the traffic becomes less and the suffering is made more bearable by the beautiful view.
Just before the finish there was another 20% gradient, because the legs probably still had some energy.
