Day one of the holiday took us to the well-known university city of Oxford. One collage after the other is lined up here and all of them are very worth seeing due to the historical buildings. Of course there was also a bit of British weather ☔️... but it doesn't matter. Oxford is worthwhile. Unfortunately a lot was closed today.

Today was just time for a short stroll through the centre of Oxford. That was not too bad as it was quite busy there.
Oxford is not only worth a stroll, it is so extraordinary that one had to spend more time here. Therefore we will come back sooner or later and have more!
After we reached Oxford on the Thames Path, we took a rest day and explored the city extensively. Having been here as a student in 1990, it was of course nice to see how much has changed, or not. We were also able to visit our daughter, who was taking a language course here at Brooks University.

From the Westgate parking garage we explored Oxford with a local in beautiful weather. Great to wander around like this and take in the highlights. We also had a delicious meal. We were on the road for six and a half hours and only moved for an hour and a half according to Komoot...
