This a very popular pub with cyclists, having a large patio with lots of seating adjacent to the towpath (leads to the Bristol / Bath cycleway). An excellent pint of Butcombe Bitter and decent food.

The Boathouse is a great spot to relax and have a drink on a balmy summers afternoon. It is on the banks of the Avon river so you can watch the boats and canoes go by and if you are in a boat, it has a side jetty where you can stop and pop in for a drink.

The Bird in Hand is a traditional pub in the heart of Saltford. You can grab some lovely food and drink here, especially the Sunday roasts. The beer garden is spacious and sunny. The pub is conveniently placed right beside the Bristol Bath Cycle Path, so a great place to stop on a hike or a ride. While you are here, it is worth exploring the village, which has some idyllic houses, a 12th-century church and a peaceful riverside.
