The path is recommended in summer and winter. The good forest air mixture with the evaporation of the Enns creates a unique well-being.

Stöcklergut - Zum Grünen Baum

Highlight • Restaurant

The Gasthof Stöckler/Spitzer family is located in the heart of the Enns-Donauwinkel with excellent transport connections in all directions. A stop after a few kilometers on foot or by bike at the Gasthof Stöckler is recommended. The Gasthof Stöckler offers comfortable rooms with shower, flat screen TV, radio and WiFi in the entire restaurant area.
There are also enough rooms for celebrations (christenings, weddings,...) and seminars. There is also plenty of space for buses (large car park; 200 seats in the inn). The cities of Linz, Steyr, Perg and Amstetten can be reached by bus or car in 15 minutes. You only need 5 minutes to get to Mauthausen or St. Valentin.

About history:
The farm was built in 1753 and at that time belonged to Ennsegg Castle. It was built as a parking space for the harness horses in front of the steep Ennsberg.
At the end of the 18th century the farm was bought by a Mr. Lettner and opened as an inn with the "Maria Theresia Concession". The empress had to approve this concession personally. From 1883 to 1888 it was also the residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand I.
The inn used to be in a central location on federal highway 1, where the demarcation line between the Russians and Americans was on the Enns Bridge during World War II. Today it only separates Upper Austria and Lower Austria.
In 1980 the Stöckler family took over the farm.
The comprehensive renovation turned the farm into a beautiful and, above all, cozy inn.
In October 2010, the new tenant, the Spitzer family, established what is colloquially known as the "1st district of Ennsdorf".
