The only island in Lake Wolfgang is the tiny Metzgerinsel with the ox cross.
The Salzburg communities of Sankt Gilgen and Strobl as well as the Upper Austrian community of Sankt Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut are located on Lake Wolfgang.
The area around Lake Wolfgang is considered a popular tourist region with many events, sports opportunities and sights.
