Hochtor Pass (2,504 m)

Highlight • Mountain Pass

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is a high alpine mountain road that connects the two Austrian federal states of Salzburg and Carinthia. It leads from Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße over the two mountain passes Fuscher Törl and Hochtor (tunnel portal 2504 m above sea level, historical pass height 2576 m above sea level) to Heiligenblut am Großglockner and has branches to the Edelweißspitze and the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs- Height. It is the highest paved pass road in Austria.

The Großglockner High Alpine Road is primarily of touristic importance as an adventure road; driving is subject to a toll for motor vehicles.

Brennkogel Summit

Highlight • Summit

If you still have enough strength in your legs, you can take this peak with you when you are on the Carinthian Anniversary Trail. The path does not lead directly over the summit, but about 200 meters below.
But it pays off!!!

A small lake next to the path, in which the last bits of snow from winter are still swimming. Ideal for cooling off on hot summer days.
