Hundertwasser Ship "Regentag"

Highlight • Monument

In 2004, four years after Friedensreich Hundertwasser's death, his ship, Regentag, was brought to his birthplace, Tulln an der Donau, for a comprehensive exhibition. The complex transfer began in New Zealand: From there, the Regentag was transported by container ship to Hamburg and then transported by road on a low-loader to Lower Austria. Since then, the colorful ship has usually been moored in Tulln's guest harbor, in the immediate vicinity of the former Minorite monastery, and is an integral part of the city's cultural heritage.

Nibelungen Monument

Highlight • Monument

As a child I have already read stories and legends about the Nibelungen and Dittrich of Bern, as one drives through Tulln and there are the characters with life-size in front of one, that was pure enthusiasm, I will never forget.

Egon Schiele Museum

Highlight • Monument

Since its founding on the occasion of his 100th birthday in 1990, the Egon Schiele Museum in the former district prison in Tulln has been dedicated to the biography and early work of the exceptional artist. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his death in 2018, the museum gem was completely reorganized in a unique cooperation between the city of Tulln, as the owner of the building, and the NÖ Museum Betriebs, as the operator of the museum. With the reorganization, it became wheelchair accessible except for the studio (2nd floor) and is also equipped with an inviting forecourt and a popular playground. The Egon Schiele Museum is a seasonal operation from April to October.
