There are definitely nicer routes. Without the E...there are steep sections and a lot of main road. I wouldn't do it again. The tunnel is interesting, but there's not much of a route directly along the lake.

July 29, 2024,Mondsee Umrundung (sehr schön zu umfahren,ca. 80% Radweg 👍)

Compared to Traunsee, Attersee and Wolfgangsee, it is a bit smaller but very nice to get around. Lots of cycle paths and few main roads. Also suitable for children. Very beautiful landscape,
and the water quality, like the others, is crystal clear and simply beautiful.

Severe thunderstorms are forecast for this afternoon, so we set off quite early for Lake Mondsee. Right at our starting point, the lakeside promenade of the town of the same name, this lake welcomes us with a magnificent panorama and beautiful scenery.

Unfortunately a mini round today because my neck was aching and I couldn't leave it alone 🙈. The tunnel was actually on the plan for a larger tour so I had to at least test it out. Wahoo had something else planned for a moment and ran off to the water, he was probably scared in the tunnel 🤣
