A very nice hike to the Monte Rossi crater, which erupted in 1669 right near Nicolosi. From the summit cross, where I had a sunny spot for a break, there was a fantastic view of the south side of Mount Etna today, and I could clearly see the two Silvestri craters that we hiked around yesterday.
