In Mezzomerico there is a large stone lying on the banks of the stream nicknamed "Riazzone"
it is known as "Prion dla val dal Sèch". A village rumor specifies that under the monolith yes
they find “La Pita e i Piscit d'or” that is a hen with golden chicks.
A very similar legend also appears in the Suno area. Along the road of the vineyards that gives
Mezzomerico leads to Suno just after the Mezzomerico border, a few tens of meters away
from the asphalt is the oldest "monument" of Suno and certainly the most mysterious. It is about
a monolith of serpentine with a rounded and vaguely conical shape of about four meters of
base for five in height, deposited by the glaciations of the Neozoic or Quaternary era.
The large boulder stands in the bed of the stream "Rio Motto Zufolone" in a wooded and hilly area.
In Sunese dialect it sounds “preja da scalavè” which can be translated into Italian as “stone of
rubbing"; rubbing against these boulders or sliding over them seems to be a good omen
for infertile women and childbirth aid for pregnant women.
