Vallter 2000 Road

Highlight • Cycleway

The Vallter 2000 alpine ski resort is the easternmost in the Catalan Pyrenees. It is located in the Ripollès region, in the municipality of Setcases. From its highest point, at 2,535 meters, you can see the Mediterranean Sea on clear days. This entrance/exit road to the area has some beautiful horseshoes for cycling.

Vallter 2000 Mountain Pass

Highlight • Mountain Pass

Typical port of the region and Catalonia. End of stage of several editions of the Tour of Catalonia. Busy for skiers and mountaineers in winter and cyclists and hikers the rest of the year. The part above has a series of very beautiful and aesthetic "lacets".

Roca Colom summit

Highlight • Summit

Roca Colom is a peak at 2,507 m located at the confluence of the communes of Mentet (Conflent) and Prats de Molló i la Presta (Vallespir) and the municipality of Setcases (Ripollès).
It belongs to the Concros circus, on the southwest side. The main ridge of the Pyrenees converges with the ridge that descends from the Canigó, so that at the top the valleys of the Tec (which originates on its eastern slope), the Tet, next to the term of Mentet, and the Ter converge , on the part of the Concros circus.
The summit is flat and broad, with a set of stones that allow you to secure the culminating point. It offers a view of the surroundings, with the mountains of the Ulldeter cirque, Pic de la Dona, Portella de Mentet, Puig de Coma Ermada and, at the foot, the Concrós cirque. The ascent can be done by a well-trodden path, either from the ski resort of Vallter via La Portella de Mentet, or from the Fonda pass via Coll de Pal.
Many of the hiking routes of the southern area of the Canigó massif pass through Roca Colom, as well as a variant of the GR 11.

Are you curious that it is the first peak of the border ridge (and of the Pyrenees of Southern Catalonia) that exceeds 2,500 masl coming from the Mediterranean.

Collade des Roques Blanches (2252 m)

Highlight • Mountain Pass

An uphill ride that is just about feasible with a touring bike, even if it can be seen as a challenge. From Prats de Mollo, the route climbs over 1517 m to 2252 m and, as a special difficulty, the road is not paved in the upper third. Here the name "Roques-Blanches" definitely makes sense, because it goes uphill on white gravel and up to 10-12% steep. Barely mobile, even with luggage, but in no case recommended for narrow racing bike tires - and those who want to enjoy the descent are definitely better served with an MTB.
Nevertheless, the pass also offers spectacular views and everyone can finally drive over mountains on fine asphalt ;-).

Roc de la Mort de l'Escolà

Highlight • Summit

Forget about reaching the top on your e-bike, you'll have to climb on foot if you don't want to miss the 360º view
Roc de la Mort de l'Escola is a mountain located near the town of Corsavy, in the Vallespir region of France. Although it is less known than other mountains in the region, its name already evokes a certain mystery and interest, as it can be translated as "Rock of Death of the Escort". This peculiar name has given rise to several local interpretations and legends.
Only in the summer months, from August 23 onwards, the weather changes rapidly and in some cases dangerously.
