Wildlife park in the Grafenberg forest

Embedded in the scenic Grafenberg Forest, the wildlife park with its more than 100 animals is an attractive destination that is open 365 days a year with free entry.
In the 40-hectare enclosure, the animals decide for themselves when to approach and show people. Red deer, roe deer, mouflon and wild boar are at home in spacious, naturally designed areas. A special feature is the fallow deer enclosure. Here the wild animals, if they want to, can be seen up close and fed.
Visitors are allowed to feed the fallow deer and wild boar with raw vegetables (carrots, kohlrabi, potatoes, apples, pears, acorns and chestnuts) in moderation.
Other park residents are pheasants and partridges as well as - in the special predatory game enclosure - foxes, polecats, wildcats and raccoons. Apiaries, natural ponds and anthills complete the wildlife park's native family of animals.
Those who are interested can also learn and explore fascinating things about the local flora and fauna on the educational forest trail, various information boards and in the forest school. In addition to the main entrance at the wildlife parking lot and the side entrance at the racetrack, there is another entrance at Ratinger Weg.

Düsseldorf-Grafenberg Golf Course

Highlight • Structure

Just 10 minutes from Düsseldorf city center, embedded in the protected landscape area of the Grafenberger and Aaper Forests, is the only 18-hole golf course at the Düsseldorf-Grafenberg golf course located entirely within Düsseldorf's urban area.
Nestled in the idyllic landscape and surrounded by forest, the course offers several artificial lakes connected to streams and waterfalls, long holes, hanging fairways and challenging island greens.

You can run wonderfully past the trotting track. Sometimes you even have the choice between asphalt or natural paths. With the mud today, we were happy to have solid ground under our feet in between times.

Beautiful view of the racecourse, with a bit of luck you can also watch a race live. Here you can check the days on which the races take place: duesseldorf-galopp.de/con-termine/termine_renntage.php
