The stilt houses are a typical feature of the beach in St. Peter-Ording. New ones are currently being added, which are also designed to withstand future flooding. There are restrooms and restaurants with wonderful, sheltered (!) sea views.

Short walk to the beach "SPO", after 5:30 departure, 5 1/2 traffic jam-free, dry drive, we were greeted with typical North Sea weather. After lunch in our regular snack bar and a little walk, the North Frisian 🌞 probably got told an "East Frisian joke". Despite the sunshine, heavy rain showers 😂😂😂 . And repeated several times 😂😂 Just great

The place itself is unsurprisingly 110% developed for tourism, but you have to accept that if you treat yourself to the natural spectacle.
