If you are hiking in Caversham it is worth taking a trip to Caversham Court Gardens. Although relatively small, the riverside park is as beautiful as it is peaceful. There is a tea kiosk amongst the flowers and trees and its a perfect picnic spot.

Mapledurham Estate Bridleway

Start climbing St Peter’s Hill out of Caversham and then drop into The Warren.

Initially you tear down some dirty tarmac. Hold your nerve through the muddy bit, and wait for it to open out again onto a lumpy concrete road. A bit of everything.
