Tittybottle Park

Highlight • Viewpoint

Tittybottle park, formerly Manor Parade Gardens, is the smallest park in Otley. A slim stretch of greenery alongside the river Wharfe, with plenty seating to watch the ducks and boats go by, ideally with some fish and chips.

The park got became known as Titttybottle park after its popularity with mother's who would be found seated, feeding their babies.

Cinder Lane Climb

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

No real way to lead into this other than to just suck it up and power up it. Gradual increase of incline right from the start leading to a good sharp dash up at the end

Lindley Wood Reservoir

Highlight • Structure

This reservoir is one of the oldest in the Washbourn Valley; it was built between 1869 and 1876. The other three reservoirs here are Thruscross, Swinsty and Fewston.

Walking around the reservoir is a truly aesthetic, soul-beautifying experience. The green wooded banks, woodland and reservoir paths and open countryside... what else would anyone want in life?... oh, sunsets here are unbelievable.

Picnic Spot by the River Washburn

Highlight • Viewpoint

If you head across the bridge, away from Norwood Edge, and take the first right to continue along the river Washburn you can double back a little and sit on the grassy bank by the bridge. A perfect spot to tuck into your picnic!

Otley Town Centre

Highlight • Historical Site

Otley isn't just a really characteristic town, it's also mad about cycling, not least because it is the home of Lizzie Armitstead, Olympic road race silver medallist at London 2012. Loads of cafes and a whole lot of charm.
