Tay Rail Bridge

Highlight • Historical Site

The iconic Tay Bridge, or Tay Rail Bridge, carries the railway over the Firth of Tay in Scotland.

This is the second version of the bridge, as the original collapsed in the late 19th century in a tragic accident during a violent storm.

The multiuser path along the Firth of Tay passing the Tay Rail Bridge is a nice ride. The bridge is spectacular and it's nice to have a traffic free trail along the water’s edge.

Towering above the River Tay, Broughty Castle has been a prominent landmark in Dundee since its construction in the 15th century. The castle has witnessed many battles throughout history, such as the 16th-century War of the Rough Wooing and the War of the Three Kingdoms in the 17th century. During the Second World War, the castle was also used to defend the Scottish coast.
