Reston Scar

Highlight • Viewpoint

Wainwright described the Outlying Fell of Reston Scar as a 'fine place for a siesta on a sunny day.' So, whether it's a quick fellwalking hit from Staveley or as a chance to catch up on some beauty sleep while topping up your tan, Reston Scar has got you covered. It can be easily linked to neighbouring Hugill Fell on a lovely little circuit above Staveley.

The weir on the River Kent at Barley Bridge in Staveley as quite a large drop for a weir. It is an impressive site and easy to miss unless you cross the bridge.

More! The Artisan Bakery

Highlight • Cafe

A real gem, this bakery has been around for about a decade and, as well as being a wholesale supplier for the best places in the Lakes, it also has a cafe on-site so everything is mega fresh. Alongside great baked goods and bread, they also do soups, sandwiches and the like.

Really welcoming to cyclists and hikers, they're open from 8.00am every day, closing at 4pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends.
