Fun and entertainment were also part of the market of the time, so that the pastor Christian Pedersen 1585 filed a complaint with the authorities about "gross rudeness". The authorities moved the market to Skærm and later to Fjerritslev, where around 1700 it is often referred to as the "Maria Messe".
