Lakeside Campsite on Gamle Strynefjellsvegen

Highlight • Lake

The historic Gamle Strynefjellsvegen is a must for gravel bikers in Norway. This is a beautiful wildcamping spot at shore of a small lake.

Lake Langvatnet

Highlight • Lake

There are no alternative ways to drive other than the path. There is nothing up to the ski center where you can take shelter in bad weather. The panorama is absolutely worth it.

Even in summer there is snow in the mountains and the lake is partly frozen.

Gamle Strynefjellsvegen

Highlight (Segment) • Mountain Pass

Ultimately, the BEST gravel road I EVER biked. Opened only during summer, this gem is made from compacted moon dust - silk like feeling when wheels touches its surface. All that happens during 30 km ride on this plateau stays there, no place on earth is likely to compete.
