There are three hiking trails in Sector Volcán: Heliconias (600 m), Las Coladas (1.7 km) and El Ceibo (2.3 km). We drove the car along a gravel road to another viewing point of the volcanic cone.

Through the rainforest in the rain! At the end of the visit, the sun actually came out 🌞 and showed us the volcano. The atmosphere in the morning was impressive, the white-nosed coati was surprisingly fearless, the variety of plants (borelia, ferns, orchids, lichens, palms, etc.) was amazing.

Not worth it if you want to see the volcano as you hike 99% of the way through the rainforest. There is a lookout, but it is no better than any street view.
