Dotrščina Memorial Park

Highlight • Historical Site

Dršrščina is a memorial park-forest not far from the famous Maksimir park in Zagreb. Although known for its memorial features of the mid-20th century conflicts, it is still far more than that. This forest oasis with its not too demanding roads (some are paved with cobblestones, some asphalt) and paths, allows various walkers and other recreants a place to relax thoughts and wrinkle the body. In the woods there is also (unofficial) XC track where MTB cyclists often build their skills. In the summer months, Dotrščina is a nice haven of city heat, and in the spring and fall and in the months it is full of colors that further stimulate the desire to sit on one of the benches on shaded and sunny paths and simply enjoy it.

The third lake is located in the heart of Maksimir Park. After visiting the second one, briefly follow the lookout point you pass and climb the path to the embankment behind which is the beautiful third lake. This is the lifeblood of Maksimir Park, because a large number of people who come to Maksimir Park from the side of Bukovačka Street pass through this place, and there is also the end of the promenade at the foot of the lookout. Several set benches are strategically positioned for anyone looking to spend a few moments along the third lake.

The name Vidikovac in German translated "lookout" says almost everything.
