Actually we wanted to go through the tunnel. You can see one end and the other in the pictures. After we had climbed over two cliffs and then stood in front of muddy water with a queasy feeling in our backs, through which one would have had to wade bent over, we decided to take the sweaty, very beautiful detour.

Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to cross the tunnel and there is no official sign indicating this. It appears to have collapsed inside and there is no sign that it will be made passable again.

Today we started our round trip at the Reventon Oscuro' car park and walked all the way down to the Emita de Lourdes and the water spouting tree. Then only on a hiking trail that turns into a forest path, always at about the same height, until we descend to El Cedro, where we have a little refreshment at the …

From Lourdes, the path leads along a road with a natural road surface, steadily uphill with a slight gradient, until you reach a curve with several signposts showing the path to El Cedro. The varied descent leads close …

Our tour runs along easy-to-walk paths through laurel forests, lined with large ferns. Everything …

Heat wave over the Canary Islands - so off to the cloud forest high up on La Gomera. In this case, an impressive experience even without fog!
