Canary Islands Botanical Garden (Jardín Botánico Canario)

Highlight • Natural Monument

Great garden can only recommend a visit. I was particularly impressed by the many large cacti. I was there in February and there were some flowers to admire there too. By the way, there is no entry fee and can easily be combined with a tour from Las Palmas through the Barranco de Guiniguada. If you want to go further after that, I recommend the Pico de Bandama.

Barranco de Guiniguada

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

Special gap between residential areas. In the gorge a stony unpaved path winds between the banana plantations. Great for gravel bikes and MTBs.

The canyon where I had a hard time with my heavily loaded bike. Although the canyon is very nice and quiet, it is swung with rough stones and you have to constantly watch where you steer. The great way to cycle out of the city with your MTB!

Guiniguada Ravine (Intermediate Section)

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

Although this canyon is the most beautiful and peaceful way to get out of the city, it is a technical canyon to drive. Lots of loose stones so you have to keep your eyes on the road. A special place for cycling!
