Circular route, Cacém, Fitares, Carregueira, Belas...
Nice weather for the practice. It should be noted that the Belas forest is being destroyed by the greed inherent in uncontrolled construction, houses worth over a million are like mushrooms. The quality of life that the former acquired is being lost if the trails and roads are being destroyed to make way for …

All roads lead to... Belas, even a Roman "pavement", which unfortunately is in a very poor state of conservation. This type of "legacy from the past" should be the subject of greater care and attention, with a view to its conservation/maintenance, so that future generations can enjoy this heritage that belongs to everyone :-(

This Sintra council is a disgrace 🫣

27km ride to get back to the activity, not bad, especially as it was quite hot, a lot of dust, and... last week wasn't easy 😉
Note: it is not the most suitable place but... inside the Casal do Brouco ruins is what remains of a scooter... perhaps stolen and which was set on fire here (according to photos)

Quiet, rolling route, with one or two somewhat "sneaky" sections.

Monte Suímo.
During the mining and dismantling of the rock, an accessible fracture was discovered through which the cave can be accessed. (See pictures)

The cave is open in Urganian terrain and develops in carbonate strata with a N/S direction. It is a small collector of phreatic origin, whose development is controlled by fractures.
