"4 Strony Świata" Roundabout under the Marsa interchange

Highlight • Cycleway

Nicely organized connection of paths in 4 directions. There is also a Veturilo station with a pump at the roundabout. You could put a few more benches there - there is room. Generally, a nice collision-free solution for DDR :-).

Part of the investment in the reconstruction of the Łazienkowski Bridge also included the construction of a bicycle and pedestrian viaduct over Wał Miedzyszyński (which then connects to the piers under the Łazienkowski Bridge). Unfortunately, on the other side of the bridge there is no idea or money left and you have to go around the entire Czerniakowski Port and cross Czerniakowska via the pedestrian crossing at Łazienkowska... . It's a pity that there is no footbridge further over the port and Czerniakowska/Solec Street :-(. The facility itself is well-made and it must be emphasized that thanks to it, Praga Południe, the nearby part of Gocław and Saska Kępa have gained an excellent bicycle connection with the left bank of the Vistula.

Port Czerniakowski

Highlight • Structure

Czerniakowski Port – a river port located in Warsaw on the left bank of the Vistula, along Solec and Czerniakowska streets. It is located on a canal known as the Port Canal.

The port, together with workshops for Vistula shipping, was built in a branch (oxbow lake) of the Vistula in the years 1850–1865. Until 1965, a river shipyard operated in the port. Since the 1970s, it has been used for sports and recreational purposes. The port canal is intersected by traffic routes in two places. There is a bicycle trail nearby (part of the Vistula Bicycle Trail). At the port outlet there is a flood gate, and in the middle is the Łazienkowski Bridge. You can enter the headland area via Zaruskiego Street, and the former shipyard area via an alley that is an extension of Łazienkowska Street. The Czerniakowski Canal (Main Canal "A") and the Piaseczyński Canal have their outlets in the Port Canal.

Glory to the Sappers Monument

Highlight • Monument

The third part of the "Glory to the Sappers" monument is located in the Vistula River - a six-and-a-half-meter sculpture depicting three soldiers driving a post into the riverbed, which is to be the pillar of a new bridge. It is located at the entrance to the Czerniakowski Port.

Świętokrzyski Bridge, beautiful at night and the first cable-stayed bridge in Warsaw, apparently the most pro-bicycle bridge of the capital;)
