Straight to the finish line to the Belchenhaus...then it's not as far as it used to be. 😄

Car-free Belchen Road

Highlight • Trail

The summit has been car-free since 2001. However, it can still be easily reached with the Belchenbahn, or of course on foot or by bike.

There is a vending machine between Belchenhaus and Berstation, where you can buy chilled drinks (including beer) and small snacks (snickers, pretzels, etc.) at fair prices. Very good if you need a small meal and the Belchenhaus has already closed.

July 2, 2025,Belchen (1.414 m) bei Hitze und Menschenleer 🚴🏽‍♀️🏁
Today, I climbed the Belchen (1,414 m) by e-bike in the intense heat, but found the summit of our beautiful local mountain deserted with a lovely, pleasant breeze.
We climbed via Gabler Eck, Schloßberg, Haldenhof, Strohmeyer Chapel, and Richtstatt, then via Krinne, Alter Kohlenmeiler, with a detour to the Bergwerkstüble, and returned around Eichboden.
