At the same time, the hospital baker was convicted of embezzling loaves of bread. The neo-Gothic facade including the bell tower was not added to the hospital until 1856. In 1885 the facade was painted by H. Kolb and restored in 1978. In the hospital chapel, worshipers can still turn to two Holy Helpers from the 15th century: Saint Barbara and Saint Catherine.
