Today's tour took us past Lake Hemmelsdorf via Bad Schwartau to Lübeck. It was my first time in Lübeck, so seeing the Holsten Gate in person was the highlight for me today. Lübeck, with its old Hanseatic buildings and churches, is definitely worth seeing.

After Timmendorf, the bike path is no problem; it's well signposted, but almost exclusively along the main road. Timmendorf Beach is very beautiful, the beach is great, and the tourist card costs €3.50 to use the beach. The return journey is partly on back roads; you have to be careful where you go, but it's possible and also nicer.
