Start at Thumsee in Bad Reichenhall. Ascent via the Höllenbach forest path up to the Hochriess saddle over a rustling colorful carpet of leaves in the forest and on to the Höllenbachalm in around 1.5 hours. Back over the Höllenbachsteig, a narrow, sunny path that offers beautiful views of the Thumsee.
Great autumn mood and colorful trees.
