The Meiningen Bridge is a swing bridge in truss construction. In 1908 the bridge was built as a railway bridge of the Darßbahn. When the railway line was shut down in 1964, cars drove across the bridge until 2012. Due to its narrow construction, however, it could only be used as a single lane.

In 2012, a makeshift bridge was built and the Meiningen bridge closed to traffic. However, the swing bridge is still open at scheduled times for boat traffic.
