Herz-Jesu Church Wiechs am Randen

The new parish church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was built between 1922 and 1924 and was blessed on November 9, 1924. However, until the interior was more or less complete, another 12 years would pass, so that the church could not be consecrated until July 5, 1936. Until the outbreak of World War II, the ceiling medallions were still painted by the artist Josef Wagenbrenner (1880-1953) from Rastatt, who was also active in St. Laurentius, Tengen in those years, the pulpit was built and the baptismal font donated.
