October 15, 2021,Moselsteig Etappe 4 von Konz nach Trier
Hiked 4 stage and that will continue next year

Showing Translation

As expected, the fourth and last Moselsteig stage was one of the weaker sorts. From Konz you first cross the Moselle and then it goes through Zewen quite steeply up into the forest. Then it goes, with beautiful views, between Herresthal and the A64 along.

And on it went from Konz to Trier ... For that 80% rain was announced .. Was nothing but nothing at all .. Slowly feet are realizing that they are doing something .. It was really nice today but exhausting and if we were right away Arriving at the holiday home nothing more happens today ..

So, that was the last tour of our holiday for now. But we've already made plans to continue the Moselsteig next year. We liked the 3rd stage the best... followed by the 1st at a short distance. Then the 4th. We felt like we had the path to ourselves. Hardly any other hikers... with the few places to stop for …

From the Café Mohrenkopf to the Mariensäule (which you should definitely visit) was the only section of the route that I remember fondly. From the Mariensäule I would skip the detour around the university next time; …

Today is the fourth stage of the Moselsteig, well, such stretches are part of it. You see the Mosel exactly twice: in Konz at the start and then again in Trier. Otherwise there is a lot of asphalt, wide paths (forest highways) and very occasionally a little path. Conclusion: A hike that nobody needs, but that you simply have to …

Showing Translation

Since today is my last day in the Mosel Valley for now, I decided to skip the remaining part of stage 3 and start stage 4. I wanted to visit Trier before I go home. It is a very beautiful old city with a lot of charm, definitely worth a visit.

Showing Translation

We reached Konz by train from Trier in a very short time. The fourth stage of the Moselsteig Trail took us at the beginning of the tour over the Moselle and then, on the other bank, up to a wooded ridge.
