Rock massif of the Glatzenstein. Below the lookout rock there is a cave that was already used in prehistoric times. From the viewing platform you can enjoy a wonderful view that makes you forget the hardship of the ascent.

A vantage point does not exist on the Hansgörgel (or Hansgörgl), but a summit cross and some rocks to rumklettern. Around the Hansgörgel summit there are beautiful narrow trails, so you can recommend a trip to this mountain.

Out and about with the hiking club. The tour of the fortress was really worth it.
A beautiful day of hiking in perfect hiking weather.

Mountainous hike from Reichenschwand over the Rothenberg, Glatzenstein, big Hans Görgel.
Hike with steep climbs and wonderful challenges. Climbs are mostly in the forest🌳. You are rewarded with highlights and beautiful views.
Conclusion: 4 out of 5 ⭐️

According to Garmin, there were a few more meters of elevation, so here's a picture of the Garmin data for the tour.
Otherwise, it was a nice round to improve your fitness. 😁

In addition to highlights like the fortress (check opening hours), the Glatzstein with its wonderful view of Nuremberg, and the Grosser Hans-Görgel, there are also some very beautiful paths and trails. Sometimes flowing, other times quite steep.

@☘️ Werner Thank you very much for the recommendation of “Gasthaus Leuzenbergerhof”. The 🍽️ food and the 🍰 cakes at Christine’s are really highly recommended 😃

Certainly one of the most popular trails here on Komoot, and for good reason. A beautiful climb to Rothenberg Fortress, past a beautiful pond. It's a great place to rest, then a straightforward descent and a somewhat steeper climb to Glatzenstein. Nothing to do today, and despite the light haze, a magnificent view of (??) Marloffstein, Moritzberg, and the Nuremberg …
