It is in the old town, on the river Artibai. XIV. In the century there was a wooden bridge. But the forerunner of today's was built in 1795, in the Romanesque style. In 1936, during the Spanish Civil War, the bridge was heavily damaged and in 1953 it was almost completely destroyed by a great flood. Because of all these changes, it is difficult to guess the original structure of the bridge.

Coastal Road Between Deba and Mutriku

On this road a large part is missing on Komoot maps! Maybe somebody can tell this to Komoot?
The road itself was closed and under construction for a long time (months!?). On Sept. 2nd 2019 at 10:10 we had the change to first ride this semi finished road with an exiting scenery which really made it worth to wait about 45min. The basque people seem to be very strict. Although we couldn’t see any real problem on the road they didn’t let us through earlier.
As there is a tunnel construction on the way, it may be closed again?
