A day trip to Koyasan, an active monastic center for around twelve centuries and a UNESCO World Heritige Site since 2004.

Taking the train from Osaka Namba station to Gokurakubashi, then change into a cablecar (funicular) up to Koyasan Station. Although it is called Koyasan station you are not there yet ... still need to take a bus into town …
