The Kalkberg Church in Rüdersdorf was built from Rüdersdorf limestone from 1869 to 1873. The construction had become necessary because the village church in Alt Rüdersdorf had become too small. Incidentally, the tower is now said to have visibly leaned slightly to the north, which could be caused by long-term weather conditions and possibly also by blasting in the limestone open-cast mine.
