The second day took me inland to the villages of Levkas, Podromos, Marmara and Marpitsa, each more beautiful than the last. Actually, the plan was to go to the highest peak on the island. But another six hundred meters of altitude with inclines of up to and over 20 percent in the blazing sun wasn't my thing today.
