Former Skånska Trängregementet Barracks Monument

In 1903, the Minister of War, Jesper Crusebjörn, decided that the Skånska convoy would be relocated from Kristianstad to the then unknown station community Hässleholm. In 1907, the barracks area was completed, which had been erected after the 1901 mansion building program following the Fortification type drawings for the trench. The architect behind the establishment was Erik Josephson at the Army Administration. In the same year, the Skånska convoy (T 4) was transferred to Hässleholm. The area that the Corps came to dispose of included about a hundred buildings as well as a nursing home with oatmeal and food stores. By the 1982 defense decision, the convoy troops completely left Finjagatan to co-locate with the armor troops on Garnisonsvägen. The area and barracks were sold to Hässleholm municipality. The municipality has since transformed parts of the area into, among other things, an elementary school called the T4 school.
