San Giusto Parish

Highlight • Religious Site

The Church of San Giusto is an important church in Porcari, a town in the Italian region of Tuscany. The church was built to replace a much older church at the end of the 15th century. It was extended to three naves in 1745 and further enlarged in the last century. The facade was completed in 1884 and the church was consecrated in 1930. From the church, you have a beautiful view of the town.

Church of Sant'Andrea in Caprile

Highlight • Religious Site

The current church was probably built at the beginning of the 13th century; in 1260 it was listed in the Tax Register.
Made entirely of stone, the Church has a single nave with an apse.
On the facade, we draw attention to the typical Romanesque arches, the stone portal with a decorated arch, and the lunette with a fresco from 1735 (depicting the Madonna of the Rosary between Saint Peter and Saint Andrew).
The church underwent numerous modifications over the years, including, in 1892, the addition of marble flooring in the presbytery, the enlargement of the choir, and the relocation of the high altar. In the lower part of the bell tower, a large arch is visible (closed after 1580) which allowed for longitudinal passage through the bell tower itself.
