Merano city centre

Highlight • Settlement

Beautiful city. In the center of Merano there are more bans for cyclists. But the city itself is absolutely worth seeing. And the bike paths around Meran are a dream.

April 21, 2023,Von Lana durch das Passeiertal nach St. Leonhard🤩☀️👍😎
You should have done this bike tour through the Passeier Valley🤩 The bike path is well developed and easy to ride on. There are various places to stop along the way.
The course of the river through Meran is also very beautiful. The entire course of the Passer through Meran is a local recreation zone, a green lung 🍃🌿🍀🌳🌲🍃

Very nice tour even for inexperienced people. The way back is almost self-sufficient

Today we want to ride a tour that we recently saw on Bike Mike's YouTube channel, the Passeir cycle path. It goes from Meran to St. Leonhard in Passeier and is around 19 kilometers long.

Then I remembered the wrong turn from the day before. This led us a bit through the Passeiertal - and I really liked it there!
So I quickly …

The weather is stable today and so I don't linger, but get on my bike. After a cool night, the air is pleasantly clear.

I want to ride to St. Leonhard at the "end" of the Passeiertal; from here it only goes up over the Timmelsjoch and Jaufenpass to Austria or the Sterzing basin.

On the stretch from Saltaus to Verdins there is a steep section with rock as the subsurface. We had to push - very exhausting!

The Passeier Cycle Path is mostly flat and runs along a slight incline through the beautiful landscapes of the Passeier Valley. The refreshing Passer River accompanies us along the entire cycle path. The starting point is the spa town of Merano: from the thermal spa square we head east through the Elisabeth Park into the Passeier Valley. Continuing along the …
